Replace an Image in Photoshop Using a Smart Object

Want More?

Done! Thank you.

In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to replace any image on your smartphone screen using Photoshop.

The first step is to convert the new image to a smart object just in case I need to scale it up or down. This way I won’t loose resolution during the process.
I import the photo into the main document and holding down CTRL, I adjust the corners of the new image to overlap the smartphone’s original image.

Next, I’m creating a mask and apply a gradient to simulate a light reflection on the phone’s screen.
The final step is to create a stamp visible layer and apply a tilt-shift blur on it.
